Download, sign, and file

Print, sign, and notarize where indicated. Take the packet to your county district court clerk and pay the $200 statewide filing fee shown on the Nebraska Judicial Branch schedule effective July 1, 2026. We include county-specific filing instructions.

Wait out the 60-day period and finalize

Nebraska courts cannot hear the divorce or enter a decree until 60 days after service is perfected. Judicial Branch instructions count personal service from the next day and a filed Voluntary Appearance from the next day after filing. After the period runs, complete the final procedure required by your court.
